17 June 2008 - SanDisk today announced the availability of SanDisk Mobile Ultra, microSD, microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) flash mobile memory cards, which are available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB* capacities - the industry’s first premium mobile phone storage cards. As part of SingTel's Great Singapore Sale promotion, there will be a storewide 15% discount on all SanDisk products purchased at any SingTel Hello Shop. 22 April 2008 - Fujitsu announced the release of the MHZ2 CJ Series of 320 GB(1) 2.5" hard disk drives with automatic hardware-based encryption to effectively secure data against theft or loss, along with the industry's highest rotational speed of 7200-rpm and a 3.0 Gb/s Serial ATA interface. The new series of drives for computers and external storage devices will be available at the end of May 2008.

4 April 2008 - LG brings the world’s fastest external Super Multi Blu-ray rewriter to Singapore. The new Super Multi Blue drive takes BD and HD DVD dual optical drive to the next level, with the a BD-R write speed of 6X, and DVD+/-R write speed of 16X. The new Super Multi Blue also reads HD DVD ROM at 3X speed and can be connect easily to any PC through a USB 2.0 connection. The LG BE06 will be available locally at major electronic retail outlets from April 2008 priced at $999.

3 March 2008 - Kingston today announced it is adding a 16GB Class 4 SDHC Flash memory card to give consumers greater storage flexibility and faster speed to optimize use of today’s higher resolution imaging equipment. The new 16GB card is the largest capacity in Kingston’s line of SDHC cards, which include 4- and 8GB SDHC Class 2/4/6 versions.

Transcend's SSDs deliver sustained read / write speeds of up to 30MB / 28MB per second and are also backed by a two-year warranty. Transcend plans to release its competitively priced 64GB and larger capacity SSDs in the very near future.

29 April 2008 - A-DATA Technology today announced its largest capacity USB flash drives in two models, the 32GB PD2 and PD9 that it is expanding its USB flash drive family lines with new 32GB capacity offerings. The 32GB PD2 and PD9 which is about the size of 69.6mm x 17mm x 10mm (L x W x H ), and is small and light enough to be taken anywhere.

22 April 2008 - WD is now shipping WD VelociRaptor™ hard drives, the next generation of its 10,000 RPM SATA "Raptor" series of drives. The 2.5-inch WD VelociRaptor drive is enclosed in the IcePack™, a 3.5-inch mounting frame with a built-in heat sink. WD VelociRaptor hard drives will be shipping exclusively through Alienware this month and will be available through the company's online store and at select distributors and resellers mid-May. 25 February 2008 - Fujitsu today announced the release of its new series of MHZ2 BT 2.5" hard disk drives with world-class capacity of up to 500 GB(1). Sales of the new series will begin at the end of May 2008. The MHZ2 BT series requires only 1.8 W of power for read and write operations, ranking it among the most power-efficient drives in its class.

16 January 2008 - In order to offer customers the best possible protection against data thieves, Sharkoon is expanding its Swift-Case line up of external hard drive enclosures by adding a model with RFID access control. Customers will find the Sharkoon Swift-Case Securita available from authorized retailers for the suggested retail price of 34 euros.

15 January 2008 - SATA-IO today announced its Power Over eSATA initiative. SATA-IO has begun work on a new specification that will provide power to eSATA devices without the need for a separate power connection. Led by the organization’s Cable and Connector group, the specification is targeted for completion in the second half of 2008. The new SATA-IO specification will eliminate this requirement by providing power for a single drive directly from the host system using the Power Over eSATA cable.
