Computex 2008: Intel Eaglelake '4' series chipset Launch

The 5 chipsets in the 4 series family, namely the X48, G45, P45, G43 & P43

Intel's very own Extreme Tuning utility that will be made available for P45 and the X48 chipsets.

 

Turbo memory will be made available for desktops as well

Intel's latest X4500HD graphics processor sitting on the G45 promises silk smooth High-Definition Playback, from VC-1 to H.264 decoding.

The X4500HD also promises video quality enhancing post processing algorithms, as well as full support for HDMI 1.3 & Displayport with HDCP. 

 

Eric touts that this is the era of the 45, where the 45nm CPU and 45 chipsets converge.
