Cool evolution? The theme for ASUS' latest workstation board seems to be all blue and cool. The retail box is completely blue, so are the parts on the motherboard: Blue heatsinks, blue slots, blue SATA connectors.
This board can be found at Chamoxa and Cybermind Computer House.
Small is good: ASUS Eee PC 900 Amid the buzz of reaching a new milestone of 1 million Eee PCs sold in just 5 months after its launch, ASUS has provided yet another round of excitement with its release of the new Eee PC 900. This new generation of the ever-popular PC packs in a whole range of hardware that includes an 8.9-inch widescreen, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, and 12GB and 20GB storage capacities for Windows and Linux platforms respectively – catering to wider consumer needs while still maintaining the “Easy to Learn, Work and Play” concept by keeping the overall weight under 1kg. With a larger screen size of 8.9-inch, a resolution of 1024 x 600 is now possible, allowing users to view a single A4 page without the need to scroll left or right and making it much easier and more effective when reading or working on documents. In addition, to suit differing user requirements, the Eee PC 900 comes in both Microsoft Windows and Linux versions.
The ASUS Eee PC 900 retails for a very reasonable price of only $798. You can grab one at Cybermind Computer House.

On-board DVI outputs becoming the norm Previously, we did write a little about the smaller sibling of the Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H, the -DS2H which is of mATX form factor. What we have here today is the full-sized ATX form factor board, labelled the -DS3H.
DVI outputs are becoming increasingly common on boards that have integrated graphics capabilities, and this is especially so for AMD motherboards. Having DVI outputs captures the attention of enthusiasts looking to build a HTPC system. Outputting to a large LCD has never been easier by simply buying a DVI-to-HDMI display cable, which are readily available.
Another board with digital output capabilities is the ASUS M3N78-EMH HDMI. This board runs on the NVIDIA GeForce 8200 chipset, which supports Hybrid SLI technology. Hybrid SLI technology consists of two main features: GeForce Boost and HybridPower. GeForce Boost 'turbocharges performance' of NVIDIA discrete graphics cards, while HybridPower enables low-power mode by using the onboard graphics to display 2D information and only call upon the discrete graphics card when 3D processing power is required.
Memory cooling takes a step forward: ASUS Mempipe The ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe motherboard supports all AMD processors including the Phenom X3 and Phenom X4, and is based on NVIDIA's latest 780a SLI chipset.
High-end ASUS boards such as this M3N-HT Deluxe sport a 8+2 phase PWM design. According to ASUS, eight phases are dedicated for the processor's main functions, while the other two phases are meant for the integrated memory controller.
For those who just need to check their email, or just check something, they could just use the built-in ASUS Express Gate feature found on ASUS' higher-end motherboards. By using Express Gate, you are ready to surf the Net in five seconds. This beats wasting a minute or so booting into Windows and then you wait again for Internet Explorer to load. Express Gate contains a very basic version of the Linux OS, which is embedded on a tiny flash drive connected via USB found on the motherboard. Stripped down versions of both Mozilla Firefox and Skype are included the embedded OS that appears right after you power on your computer.
Mempipe is a passive cooling system designed to cool your DDR2 memory sticks. The plates are mounted and tightened against the memory sticks while heatpipes direct heat away to a larger heatsink. This larger heatsink mounts on top of the heatpipe cooling system already installed on the board.
