1 - Welcome to GCA 2007!
Having been a very popular event in germany, the Games Convention has now managed to make an appearance in our part of the world! Supported by governmental agencies. The event provides a meeting point for many people in the industry - the software development companies , hardware vendors , game publishers and yes even the game players themselves! A plethora of latest games - some of which have yet to be released in the market - are available for the game fans and the public to sample.
The opening was headed by Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
Singapore is the first asian country to host the Games Convention outside of Europe. Hardware vendors such as Asus, Game publisher giant Electronic Arts , and Sony Corporation are some of the big names that are gracing this event held at suntec city from the 6th to 8th of September at Suntec City's Convention Centre.

2 - Lets look inside the EA booth!
Walking into the hall , the first booth to greet us will be the game giant Electronic Arts. It has a large projection screen showcasing trailers from its latest game offerings.
Currently the hottest attraction for most guys would be the Crysis and Need for speed:Pro Street demo systems. Crysis has much hype surrounding it, while the NFS series has garnered a faithful following due to the commercial success of its previous titles.
EA also showcases its next exciting title in the highly successful Medal of Honor series - Medal of Honor : Airborne ! It will be available on various platforms including the Xbox 360 and of course , the PC !
Also available on the Xbox 360 will be the new title "Mercenaries 2"
They have the simpsons game on the xbox 360, excellent!
Simcity and The Sims fans do not despair! New titles available on the Nintendo Wii and PC coming very soon!
Hey hey EA sporst fanatics, we have not forgotten about you! EA is prepping Fifa 2008, NBA Live 2008 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 for launch as this review is being written. There is also a dedicated EA sports section! Awesome!
Fifa Online - Now you can duke it out with other soccer fans over the net !
Warhammer Online , looks very similar to World of Warcraft though! Warhammer began as a tabletop game though, and technically is older than warcraft.

3 - Stumbling into 10tacle Studio's Booth!
10tacle (tentacle) studio is headquartered in Germany. Being a successful game development company, they have set their sights on expansion right here in Asia.
These are the games that 10tacle Studios are currently promoting here at GCA2007
Suprisingly, the large number of lady models at the booth becomes the overwhelmingly attraction for most dudes visiting the show!

4 - Nintendo fun!!
Nintendo showcases its latest games for both the DS lite and the Wii over here at the GCA2007.

5 - Asiasoft Booth!
Asiasoft has many many popular titles under its belt - that includes Ragnarok Online , Audition and the extremely popular Maple Story. Undoubtedly their booth is the largest in size over here at GCA2007.
They even give away free goodie bags!
They have daily stage programmes and the map layout in case people get lost =)
Just look at the goodie bags waiting for their new owners to come and claim them!!!
Asiasoft also has titles like Cabal, and Darkness & Light, both of which are Multiplayer-based only.

6 - Are you Man or Mouse?
It doesn't matter, because over here people become both! It's Razer's booth we're talking about! Cool gaming peripherals with demo systems are setup.
Razer's latest Mouse - the Lachesis !
Now how many of you all would like to feel what it's like to use an entirely Razered setup! The Tarantula Keyboard, Lachesis Mouse and the Barracuda HP-1 headphones!

7 - Azeroth Beckons!
Yes thats right people, Blizzard also has a booth at GCA2007!
You can see cosplayers decked out in world of warcraft costumes!
And yes fans, you can take pictures with the cosplayers, no matter how young you are!

8 - Asus WGT Competition!
Its the Reds ...
versus the Blacks!
The Battles begin! With a centred stage, the WGT provides audiences with commentaries and visuals of current ongoing matches between competitors.
Besides the competition, aspiring to-be laptop owners can also checkout the Asus G1s and G2s at the side of the booth! Each comes with their own unique colour-coded carrying bag.
Also on display is Asus's latest 22 inch LCD - the PG221! Complete with a built-in webcam, a bass-equipped audio system and a high gloss screen, this LCD looks very promising!
Look ! Even the image adjustment panel buttons are touch sensitive! No buttons!

9 - Sony Style!
Sony's booth showcases their latest flagship Console - the PlayStation 3 ! Sleek in black and red themed decor, the Sony booth entices passer-bys to step into their Sony world and experience its splendour.
Games for sampling include GRAW2 , Lair , Super Rub'a'Dub , tekken 5 and Warhawk!
There are also offers on Playstation Stuff going on at the booth!
For the PSPs going at $290 for a bundle, you can choose from a variety of 6 colours!
Look at the number of titles available for the Playstation 3 already!

10 - Miscellaneous sightings!
The Ngage has returned - as a gaming platform rather than a single hardware phone!
AMD's booth, with the Compaq-AMD professional league going on there as well!
The Gigabyte system on display at the booth!
