8 July 2008 - CJ let us know that the Nvidia PhysX driver changes some DLL files files within 3DMark Vantage and overwrites them with new versions. These versions cause your PPU to stop working, but will offload work to the GPU if you have a PhysX capable graphics card like GF9/GTX 200. When you install a Radeon you can't get your PPU back to work since NV overwrote the original DLLs.

8 July 2008 - OCZ today announced the all-new DDR3 SODIMM modules as its next generation notebook memory to support the impending Intel® Centrino® 2 mobile platform. OCZ PC3-8500 SODIMM modules feature latencies of 8-8-8-27, and PC3-10666 SODIMM modules will feature 9-9-9-24 timings at a low 1.5 volts to keep power consumption at minimum levels. 30 June 2008 - Gainward officially announced HD4870 and Gainward HD4850 graphics cards to the market. From performance point of view, the new ATI® RADEON® HD4870 (RV770 XT) graphics chip is designed with 512MB high speed DDR5 memory and a 256bit memory bandwidth, supports PCI-express 2.0 interface with 750 MHz core clock, 3600MHz memory clock and 800 units of stream processors.
