Targetted at digital compact camera users who yearn to do mor with photography, Canon introduced its most affordable ever DSLR - the Canon EOS 1000D that combines ease of use, compactness and outstanding technologies. The EOS1000D was created to address the need for a fully featured DSLR at a low price, making it easier for consumers tocross the percieved high-DSLR-cost barrier. The EOS 1000D is a APS-C camera featuring 1.6x crop with features roughly similar to its bigger brother 450D. The scaled down features on the 1000D includes a 7pt AF compared to 9 on the 450D, a 3fps burst compared to 3.5fps, 2.5" LCD compared to 3".
