Moving to the consumer-class cameras, Canon introduced a total of 4 new models; the Ixus 960 IS, 860 IS, Powershot A720 IS and A650 IS. IS (Image Stabilizer) functionality has been proven to be an essential feature that consumers look out for when purchasing their cameras, and it seems that Canon has decided to incorporate this feature into all their new cameras!

The Powershot A series is Canon's answer to the budget-concious consumer. The A720 features a 12.1MP Sensor as well as a 2.5" Vari-angle LCD that allows you to tilt to an angle that you desire.

The A650 comes with a 8.0MP Sensor, 6x Optical Zoom and a high ISO of 1600.

The Ixus 860IS comes equipped with a 28mm wide angle lense, 8.0MP CCD Sensor with up to 2.8X Optical Zoom.

The Ixus 960 IS comes with a 12.1MP CCD Sensor and 3.7x Optical Zoom.
